Sewing Pattern Printing

Patterns are printed on a 50g/m2 semi-transparent paper (75%recycled content) specially designed for sewing patterns. The paper is sturdy but lightweight, making it easier to pin through. It is robust enough to be traced from, or can be cut and used directly. The paper has a slightly roughened back, which helps to keep it in place on your fabric while you work.

Printed patterns will be hand folded and placed into a C4 size envelope for delivery, unless “in store pickup” is selected and a rolled pattern is requested. Due to the volume of orders it is hard to predict (I am one person) but generally patterns will be ready for either pickup or shipping in 1-2 business days. If you chose „in store pickup“ I will send an email to the account provided when the pattern is ready. Because they are created to order, printed pdf-patterns are not returnable.

1. Find large format version of your .pdf pattern – usually it will have “copyshop”, “A0”, “A1”, “A2”, or “large format” somewhere in the file in the name – this is the one you want to upload. If your pattern offers “layers” (usually indicated in the name of the pattern, though “copyshop” patterns also sometimes allow this option) think about which sizes you would like to have printed – you will be able to enter this information in the comments box on the checkout page.
2. Figure out how many large format pages your pattern contains (usually by opening the file and looking in the upper left corner or lower right side). This number is usually less than 6. If this number is over 10 then you may be looking at the “A4” file intended for home printers. If your pattern is one page – does it look suspiciously long? If so, you may have a pattern that is longer than DIN A0, in which you will need to figure out how long it is.
   • Important:  pattern length is listed here in mm. Depending on the various settings on your computer, information about your pattern may appear in mm, cm, or inches.  Remember to pay attention to the unit of measure.  Use your favorite search engine to find unit conversion calculator (if needed).
   • To find information about pattern size, open the pattern file you plan to upload.  Then:
     • Adobe Acrobat 
       • Menu Bar -> Edit – > Document Properties -> “Description” tab (should open to this tab automatically) – here you will find information about pattern dimensions, and also number of pages.. 
     • Mac Preview
       • Short version: Click on the little “i” inside the circle in the middle of your header bar.  Choose the tab with piece of paper icon (tab that is all the way to the left,  my system opens to this tab automatically). 
3. Select the printing option with number of pages that corresponds to your pattern, or for extra long patterns, the range that corresponds to the length. This will attach the correct price to your order.
4. Upload the file where prompted.
5. Click the “add to cart” button
6. Upload each pattern you wish to have printed separately
7. In the comment box on the checkout page, let me know if you have any requests – if you would like or some sizes to be printed, this would be where to tell me which sizes you would like.

Pattern printing costs 6€ for the first page of each pattern, and 3.50€ for every page thereafter for each pattern, so:
1 Page = 6.00€
2 Pages = 9.50€
3 Pages = 13.00€
4 Pages = 16.50€
5 Pages = 20.00€
6 pages = 23.50€
7 Pages = 27.00€
8 Pages = 30.50€
9 Pages = 34.00€
10 Pages = 37.50€
If your pattern is longer than 10 pages, please feel free to email it to me at musterdruck@selu-online.com (but also double check that you are looking at the A0 file, because that would be a very complicated pattern).
