Hello Readers,
I am hoping that you all had a joyful holiday season! I myself took a bit of a sewing pause through the holiday season, but now that life has settled back into a more normal (if very cold) routine, I am finding time again to sew (I am just finishing up something for the TAUKO Make and Share – coming soon). I am hoping that you have the time to do the same.
New in Shop –
Digital Patterns
TAUKO has released more of their patterns in digital form. I am lucky enough to have a few of them available for purchase through the SELU website (and of course you can order these patterns custom printed, and if you buy the digital and printed form together you will save money over ordering them separately).

Find all these digital patterns and more on the SELU website here
(I am personally thinking of making the JUDITH jumpsuit out of my dark blue linen fabric, through at the moment it is hard to believe that it will ever be warm enough to wear it).
And, TAUKO is now publishing some patterns in German . You can find DORTE, KIRSTI, and ADELE on the SELU website, or you can find more of their recent patterns in German on the TAUKO website here (and then if you like, you are welcome to use the code TAUKO26 to receive 10% off the cost of printing through SELU). Next up on my sewing list is the Centrefold pattern (also available in German) using this light blue linen from the SELU & Fadenwohl Capsule Collection no. 1.
New Fabric

Also new in the shop: this beautiful dark gray wool (60%) and cotton (40%) deadstock suiting fabric. I used it to sew a pair of pants for myself and could not be happier. I used TIRE Japanese Silk thread, and found it to be quite pleasant to work with.
My only complaint is that this fabric is such a lovely neutral color that I had a hard time making photos that showcased the pants instead of the knitwear.
Please enjoy these photos of an aran sweater that I knit two decades ago, a vest that I knit last year, and oh yes, that pants that I am actually trying to document.

In the quest to sew a more sustainable wardrobe it is nice to have pieces of good quality that disappear into the background, allowing them to be easily styled with other pieces. And success!
Wish you all the best in your sewing adventures,
Sarah
